Unlike most scales on the market,
this advanced technology scale digitally displays weight in 0.2lb
increments and body fat in 0.5% increments and has a 300-lb capacity.
It even includes a healthy indicator to measure where you fall within
the standard Body Fat Range Chart.
It measures in pounds, kilograms, or stone pounds. Its 2-1/4 inch digital
display makes it easy to read.
In addition, its dual memory feature
allows two people to personalize their body weight/body fat statistics
with selections such as female/male, adult/child, age, and height, to
provide more accurate readings. It also offers a "guest" mode so
the guest's readings are not recorded.
The Body Fat Analyzer allows you to
monitor your weight loss progress in an advanced way. Body fat
analysis is important because excess body fat has been directly linked
to conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes,
cancer and other serious diseases and illnesses.
Tanita's®
patented "foot pad"
electrode design uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to
determine body fat. In this method, a safe, low-level electrical
signal is passed through the body. It is difficult for the
signal to flow through body fat, but easy to flow through moisture in
the muscle and other body tissues. The difficult with which a
signal flows through a substance is called "impedance". So the
more resistance, or impedance, the signal encounters, the higher the
body fat readying. This method is supported by medical research.
