Q.

What are the other benefits of the Tahiti Trim® Plan 40™ Appetite Suppressant besides helping control your appetite and portion sizes?

A.

Appetite Suppressant's key ingredients do help your body in ways other than simple meal portion-size control. Here they are:

Chromium picolinate is an essential mineral (83% RDA in each capsule) that increases the efficiency of food digestion by boosting the efficiency of insulin and blood sugar regulation. Better blood sugar regulation helps keep our cravings under control.  L-carnitine also has a positive effect on blood sugar (glucose) regulation and acts as a transporter of fat to the fat-burning parts of our cells (mitochondria), thus allowing fat to be converted to energy.

Garcinia cambogia fruit extract contains hydroxycitrate, which is involved in a reaction that allows more glucose to be available to muscles, increasing endurance during workouts. Chromium picolinate and L-carnitine may also boost this effect. Studies also indicate that Garcinia cambogia is effective at preventing fat buildup in cells.

Q.

How is the metabolism of men different from that of women?

A.

The rate at which men and women burn calories (their metabolic rate) is very different. Although this is evident starting at puberty, it becomes even more marked as women become menopausal.  As women approach and travel through midlife, they experience a larger increase in weight and body fat compared to men. This is due to several factors.

First, women have less lean body mass (LBM) or muscle than men. LBM is more metabolically active than fat, so it burns more calories when the body is at rest.  In addition, as women age, their need for calories goes down by 5 to 15%. If a woman is not eating less or exercising more, it is likely she will gain weight.  Finally, as estrogen levels drop off and testosterone becomes a more predominant hormone, women's weight will redistribute itself to the abdominal area.

Q.

Why is the Women’s Essentials supplement so important for women over 40?

A.

Vitamin E, as well as vitamins B6 and B12, found in the Women’s Essentials soft gel, are essential nutrients for the health of peri- and pre-menopausal women.

Vitamin E
After age 45, the leading cause of death in women is heart disease. Vitamin E has been widely studied and appears to have a great potential in preventing cardiovascular disease.  Supplemented vitamin E is also instrumental in the prevention of cancer, in addition to enhancing immune response and delaying the onset of Alzheimer's disease.  Supplementation is crucial because the usual recommended therapeutic dose of vitamin E is 400 IU. Obtaining this level from food would require a diet excessive in fat and calories.

B Vitamins
Vitamins B6 and B12 are important in the prevention of cognitive decline and vascular disease. They are necessary for the transport of nutrients and proper function of the nervous system. In mid-age women, that translates to the likelihood of decreased mood swings, less irritability, and diminished incidence of depression.
